Our Mission & Vision

Dallas Ft Worth TX Transitional Sober Living Recovery Home for Men

The mission is simple: to provide a safe environment for recovery. We emphasize recovery with respect to overall health and the promotion of wellness through improving relationships with self and others.

Gratitude House envisions a world community that understands addiction as an illness of the body, mind, and spirit. We hope to educate all segments of society about the stigmas associated with addiction.

Just a few of our favorite quotes…

“Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. Those who do not recover are people who cannot or will not completely give themselves to this simple program, usually men and women who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves. There are such unfortunates. They are not at fault; they seem to have been born that way. They are naturally incapable of grasping and developing a manner of living which demands rigorous honesty. Their chances are less than average. There are those, too, who suffer from grave emotional and mental disorders, but many of them do recover if they have the capacity to be honest.”

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
John F. Kennedy

Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.  ~G.B. Stern

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.

– Melodie Beattie

Gratitude- We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give .
